The 2014 Audi RS 7 Sportback, the high-performance take on the Audi A7, broke cover at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show on Monday.
The 560-horsepower Audi RS 7 Sportback is expected to arrive in U.S. showrooms in the fall. Pricing was not announced, but the RS 7 is expected to be priced higher than the A7 on which it is based. The 2013 Audi A7 starts at $60,995, including an $895 destination charge.
The RS 7 Sportback turns in impressive performance numbers, according to Audi. The car sprints from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. While the EPA has yet to list official fuel economy numbers for the RS 7, Audi estimates it will return an average of 24 mpg.
The RS 7 Sportback is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine linked to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard with quattro all-wheel drive and 20-inch forged lightweight wheels.
Buyers will get a choice of 10 exterior colors, including matte Daytona gray. Two styling packages, including a carbon styling package, further customize the car's look.
